because the cuddles are so, so nice

When I was still pregnant with Dylan I imagined taking him camping with us at the end of the summer, at two months old. People told me it would be easy when he’s so little, when he just wants to be carried around, when he

a monday evening in July

I keep trying to think of something profound to write, about being a new mom, about my funny little baby. About expectations and reality. About the intense ordeal of giving birth to a baby. There’s just too much I think. Too much to fit all

I have a baby!

You might have guessed what I’ve been up to 🙂 Baby Dylan James Amos joined the party last weekend, Saturday morning, July 1st at 11:32 a.m. Daddy guessed right, he was just waiting to be a July baby. He weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and

12-day eviction notice

I am so ready to have this baby. I am so ready to have my body back again (well, except for the boobs. he’s got a lease out on those for a few more months still). I want to run. Have a rum and coke.

why have a landline?

I pay $45 a month for my landline phone so that telemarketers can harass me. Telemarketers never call my cell phone. My family only ever calls me on my cell phone. So I hardly ever answer the house phone because I know there’s a 99%
