setting up camp

My belly must be a nice place to be.

We’ve been to a few different appointments these past couple of days. He’s been measured (about 7 lbs. 6 oz. right now), his fluid level is good. His non-stress testing went well. The nurse took my blood pressure and it was perfect. “I’m sorry,” she said, about my blood pressure, “I mean I’m not sorry that you have good blood pressure, but it means we have no reason to induce you.”

So I guess he gets to just hang out in there a little while longer.

I have another appointment next week, Wednesday, when I’ll assume that if he hasn’t already come, we’ll talk about induction. But for now, it’s up to him.

  1. Despite how ready you are for him to be born, I promise you that you don’t want to be induced. I mean sure, go ahead and break your water or do the cervadil stuff, but, as I’ve said before, you do NOT want to go the pitocin route. And that is likely what they’ll do if they decide to induce. Evil! Evil stuff!

Baby Dylan is just comfy and cozy in there, but I have a feeling that by next Wednesday you’ll be cancelling that appointment. 🙂 I’m guessing a 4th of July baby.

  2. Honey, it will be ok. Kids come when they are ready and that will always be that way. Hang in there, he will be born soon. I agree with Angie, I think it will be a July 4th baby. Good luck, let me know if you need anything. Love ya!
