I know from Twitter that you did end up sending something out--best of luck. It'll be awesome. If they say otherwise, they're clearly daft. But you're right, sometimes you need to take a step back and just kind of look at something later to truly see what it was missing. I have no aspirations to make writing a job, hell, I don't even have any job aspirations. Which is kind of sad, but I've never, ever been very career-oriented. I don't have any skills, mine all lie in the obscure and just plain weird, unfortunately, LOL! Anyway, point is, just DOING something is awesome. Sending out writing is stressful business and so is raising a kid and going through all the crap you have. Channeling all the icky crap into writing is what has kept me going.
